Its mission is to “hold and conduct an examination at the end of the High School and Intermediate stage or development and promotion of school education in the state of Uttarakhand.” Typically, the UOSB administers the state-mandated annual Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination in March and the Supplementary Examination in June.
